One of my favorite bands Blood St. is having another show at Mercury Lounge(Jan 15th). Lead vocals is supplied by the scarf wearing E.B. Sollis. This tiny rocker has a voice that can rock an audience for hours. E.B. is the kind of guy that you can have an hour long conversation about Hanson's music, Jem, and the fact Mick Jagger wore knee pads in the 80's. Then there's Mr. Biceps himself Erik Sven Broberg,(whenever i see him I find myself adding six more names on to his last name) provides back up vocals and lead guiltar. He's not too bad on the eyes either. Matthew Lally or simply Lally is the Johnny Drama of this band. He'll be the one to jump onto a speaker or drink a whole bottle of Jack Daniels on stage. He's a complete showmen, and entertains his audience by going shirtless majority of his performances. Recently the band has added some new faces to the line up. Ryan Gregg is on keyboards and Donovan Pyle on drums and percussion. These two fellows have added a sharper sound to the bands already blues infused rock. Blood st. will soon be performing every Friday for the month of Feb at Pianos.
